Elon Musk Wants to Nuke Saturn
“I just want to see if it moves the rings a little. Just a little side project for fun. The bomb we’ll be sending has a payload similar to 60,000 Nagasaki’s. It could literally melt half the Earth.”
While the project could launch as soon as 2025, the price is no joke: $1.6 Billion dollars.
“I found that much in DOGE coins on a thumb drive in my couch cushions,” said Musk, “chump change.”
Scientists speculate what an atomic bomb that size could do to Saturn: “We really just want to watch the explosion and find out the good old fashion way. That’s the kind of science we really miss.” When asked about misfires during the build process, “Yeah, true… we could lose Earth I guess. But, we really haven’t gotten to see many good explosions in the last 30 years, so maybe it’s worth the risk?”
“It’s a good point.” said Musk, remaining thoughtful for a moment, “What about that two part epoxy – I’ll send up two rockets with two separate bomb parts, and have them smash together in the last second.”
