Handmade Lamborghini Valued More Than Real Lamborghini
Man in 3rd world country unveiled his handmade take on the Lamborghini Countach, with slanty roll cage and loose hammered panels, powered by a 4 cylinder Volks Wagon engine. Nicknamed the Scrambagini, the auction house floor was audibly confused at first, but as the bids began to rise, the murmur was afire. Most Lamborghinis retail for half a million dollars. This new market was made not at a car auction, but the worlds most famous art auction. The Scrambagini flew off the auction block for $3 million dollars.
“The car looks rough, no denying that,” said NYC art expert Milo DeMilo. “But it’s not about the looks, it’s about who tells you what’s good. If you are famous enough in the New York art world, we can flip anything really. I auctioned homeless man’s moldy baguette last week for $14,000. I even heard there is an odd smelling hotdog wrapper collection up for auction tonight, which should be exciting, because it held the first ever batch of Chef Kob Belishe’s Yorkshire pudding flavored hotdogs.”
“Why would anyone buy a stinky shoe, or a Scrambagini? Because we indirectly tell them to. As long as there are diamonds or expensive watches book-ending the outlandish items, we can sell anything for a surprising amount. It’s a number game to wealthy buyers, to see what grows in value later. $3 million is like a used car price for them.”
Currently Shia LaBeouf is driving the Scamborgini on set, for the short daily drive between his lavish lounging trailer and the new movie scenes he is currently working on for upcoming movie “Nitro Super-Truck Gangsters”.
