Pet Goat Climbs Wall like Protective Cliff
Sue Maginny’s goat is locally famous, and is now maybe the most famous goat in the world. It all began with the day Sue had two antique lights installed. “My pet goat, Buxley, couldn’t resist. As soon as the installer left, Buxley leapt up and stood on the tiny ledges easily. He just stares at me while he’s up there. It was really creepy at first, like an exorcist thing. I called a ghost hunter who just came over and laughed at me, took a few cookies and slapped my tush on the way out. Buxley stays there, pressed against the wall, 7 hours a day or more. It’s like some kind of steep cliff safe from mountain lions I guess.”
Sue continued, “I don’t think he really knows he’s a goat, but he sure acts like one. I’m always taking a closer look at his little grippy hooves huddled together on that tiny pieces of metal. The only way to get him down is to set a plate of cookies on the ground.”
Neighbors from all around have come to see the goat who won’t leave his tiny wall perch unless he’s challenged to a ramming contest by the young boys. “Buxley’s knocked out a few of them boys, but you’d be surprised how quickly a kid gets up when he smells fresh cookies coming out of the oven.”
