Truck Lifts Getting Taller
Truck modding has been around a long time, but the current trend has just ballooned, 3 inch, 10 inch, even 15 inch lifts are not satisfying the truck modding community any longer. With a few feats of engineering trucks are now being lifted higher than a basketball hoop, some as much as 200 inches into the air. We frankly do not know how they remain vertical while accelerating even just a little, much less around the sharp turns of back roads.
“Is it some kind of gravitational vector machine down below the pumpkin ball, pulling it into the road?” asked Randall Meho, passerby.
Spectators ponder the use of mirrors for trickery, an illusion of height, or some kind of alien technology.
“I thought I’ve seen it all,” reported 113 year old Gary Doogle. “I literally saw the first train invented by humankind. This truck is like that. It boggles the mind. It doesn’t make sense to me, just like trains… why are trains so long?”
Some mothers are refusing to let kids ride with their camouflage-wearing husbands, “that truck is annoyingly tall and obviously dangerous as hell”. Yet, a few mothers have gotten into the trend, getting super lifts of their own. “It feels dangerous and that’s what I like. Who’s gonna mess with a bitch driving a mini skyscraper down the road?
Advocates admit there is a great perk in the build, “When cops pull you over there’s not much they can do. They can barely see above the tires, much less reach up 19 feet in the air to get to me. I toss down a fake ID and eventually the cop just waves me on. Got out of 13 tickets like that.”
